Our Workshops
Writing is a very personal activity, but it can also be a positive communal experience.
There is never any obligation to share anything you have written, but simply sharing the experience of writing together in a non-judgmental space, where we are listened to with empathy, is empowering. Through our workshops you can enjoy all the benefits of connection and community in a safe nurturing space.

Our workshops will give you the tools to get started on your journey of exploration, Along the way we will support you to:

-
improve your wellbeing and mood
-
nurture self-compassion
-
deal with challenges
-
develop resilience
-
cultivate reflective practice
-
shift perspective and reframe experiences
-
set goals
-
have fun and make friends
Our strength as practitioners lies in building trust so that participants feel safe to explore their own memories and experiences, envision brighter futures and gain agency in reframing their life experiences. We provide a tailored, experiences that ‘holds’ the group in a place of safety while they, think, write and reflect.

Writing for wellbeing isn't just for people who consider themselves to be "creative", it's for everyone, no matter what their writing ability, age, education or background.

We devise and deliver bespoke Writing for Wellbeing workshops in the community, in education, and in the workplace.

We offer workshops specifically aimed at carers, front line workers, and students, as well as for private companies and VCS organisations. These can be tailored according to the needs of each group.

We also work with young people either directly or via CPD in schools, where we will train teachers and parents to use these strategies for themselves and with their pupils across the curriculum.

We aim to make our workshops fully accessible to everyone, including those who struggle with writing, offering innovative ways for people who use alternative means of communication to fully engage with our sessions.
